David is a Partner and Head of Corporate Finance at PEM. He works closely with entrepreneurs, shareholders and management teams to help them achieve their ambitions, whether that’s preparing for a sale, securing investment, making an acquisition or planning for succession.
Having begun his career with PEM as a graduate trainee, David returned to the firm after building significant M&A experience across the Cambridge market and further afield, having held advisory roles across regional boutiques, top 10 accountancy firms and mid-market Investment Banks. Today, he combines technical expertise with practical commercial advice to help clients make confident decisions and realise their future plans.
David is a highly experienced lead adviser, specialising in mergers and acquisitions for owner-managed businesses. Over more than a decade in corporate finance, he has advised shareholders and management teams on a broad range of transactions, helping them maximise value and achieve their strategic objectives.
He has particular expertise in the Cyber Security and Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) sectors, where he has successfully advised on numerous business sales and strategic transactions. Known for his commercial insight, meticulous attention to detail and strong negotiation skills, David takes the time to understand what matters most to his clients, helping them achieve successful outcomes and build a stronger future.
As Head of Corporate Finance, David leads PEM’s growing team of deal advisers, supporting clients through acquisitions, disposals, management buyouts and strategic growth opportunities.
Away from the office, David is a keen golfer with a single figure handicap to maintain and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
