Financial audit

We provide financial audit services to a full range of commercial and not-for-profit organisations, covering all sizes and sectors. Our approach is slick and risk-focused to deliver value-for-money and to fit in with our clients’ needs. We have specialist teams and focus on staff continuity.

Grant audit

Has your organisation been awarded funding for a project? If so, expenditure will often need to be verified by an approved and external independent auditor. Our team as in depth knowledge of funding programmes, including Innovate UK, EC Horizon 2020, AMSCI and regional development schemes.

Specialist audit

Various organisations have more onerous requirements placed upon them for audit or review purposes, outside of the core statutory audit limits. These requirements are generally set out by your professional bodies or regulators. PEM’s objective is to identify the requirements and to complete the required work in the most effective manner.

Independent Examinations

Charities need an Independent Examination (rather than audit) if your gross income is:

Between £25,000 and £1,000,000 where your gross assets do not exceed £3,260,000; or
Between £25,000 and £250,000 where your gross assets do exceed £3,260,000

Charities with an income not exceeding £25,000 are not required by law to have an Independent Examination but may elect to do so.

FRS 102 – are you prepared?
