Technical Director | Audit & Accounts
Jon brings over two decades of experience in audit, accounts, and technical advisory work to his role as Technical Director. He began his career as a trainee at a top‑10 audit and accounts firm, spending ten years advising clients ranging from small start‑ups to large privately owned corporate entities. He later joined a top‑four audit firm in London, where he specialised in the financial services sector and deepened his technical expertise.
After his time in the capital, Jon broadened his experience through a variety of roles in both practice and industry, working across multiple sectors and with a diverse range of clients. Throughout his career, he has naturally gravitated toward positions with a strong technical focus. Having now relocated to the countryside, Jon has returned to what he enjoys most: providing dedicated technical support to audit and accounts teams.
In his current role, Jon is responsible for supporting PEM’s audit teams on all technical matters. This includes advising on complex accounting issues, delivering internal technical training, and leading internal review processes to ensure the firm continues to produce high‑quality audit work.
Jon’s extensive experience across industries and client types, combined with his deep technical knowledge, positions him perfectly to guide teams through even the most complex queries.
Outside of work, Jon devotes most of his time to raising his young family. When he does find a quiet moment, he can usually be found outdoors in the garden or immersed in a DIY project – activities which he values as a welcome break from a busy working day. His latest venture involved landscaping the back garden, a challenge he tackled with enthusiasm.
