PEM welcomes Rachel Strother as Partner, marking significant growth in Private Clients Tax team.
PEM is delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel Strother as a Partner in the firm’s Private Clients team, effective April 2025. Rachel’s arrival further strengthens the expertise in PEM’s tax team, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to delivering exceptional service to individuals, families, and trustees.
Rachel brings with her a wealth of experience in providing bespoke tax advice to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, owner-managed businesses, and family investment companies. Her specialist knowledge spans a broad range of private client matters, with a particular interest in property-related issues, including landed estates. Rachel’s dual qualification as both an accountant and a chartered tax adviser ensures that clients benefit from comprehensive, integrated advice that addresses both their personal and business interests.
Prior to joining PEM, Rachel worked at Dixon Wilson in London, where she achieved her ACA and CTA qualifications and was appointed Partner in 2021. Her background in the capital has equipped her with a nuanced understanding of the complex tax needs facing UK-resident individuals, their families, and their trusts and estates.
Rachel commented on her appointment:
“I am thrilled to join PEM’s Private Clients team at such an exciting time of growth. I look forward to working with my new colleagues to deliver tailored, forward-thinking tax solutions for our clients, and to contribute to the continued success of the firm.”
Rachel’s arrival brings the Private Clients team to following a year of welcoming Alice Johnson as Director in 2024, Gail Mackie’s promotion to Director in January 2025, and Simon Harmsworth joining the firm as Director, in February. These developments have deepened the team’s collective experience and knowledge, further strengthening PEM’s position as a leading adviser to private clients in the region.
Nicola Anderson, PEM’s Head of Private Clients, said:
“Rachel’s expertise and reputation in the private client sector are a tremendous asset to our team. Her appointment reflects our ongoing investment in top-tier talent and our dedication to providing the highest standard of advice to our clients. With Rachel on board, we are even better positioned to support the complex and evolving needs of high-net-worth individuals and their families.”
The expansion of PEM’s tax team, and the arrival of Rachel Strother underscores the firm’s strategic focus on growth, providing exceptional support for clients while fostering deep relationships, and being at every step of the journey for our colleagues, our clients and our community.
