Judith joined PEM in 2001 and specialises in the property and not for profit sectors. Judith is primarily involved in tax advisory work for a range of our corporate clients, but also advises businesses and individuals on the stamp duty land tax (SDLT) implications when purchasing property. Outside of the technical areas Judith supports the management of the Business Tax team to ensure everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills and experience.
Judith began her career as a scientist, completing a PhD and a post-doctoral position in solid state chemistry. She then trained with PEM, starting in the audit team but moved over to Business Tax and became a Director. Judith is a member of the CIOT’s Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group.
Judith enjoys meeting new clients and other professional advisers to find out more about their businesses. Judith works closely with law firms, advising them and their clients on SDLT. The constant changes to the tax rules also keeps her challenged and entertained.
PEM is very supportive of its people, trusting them to take the initiative and supporting them in their professional development. There is a very strong focus on excellent client service and making sure our clients receive clear advice.
Judith is a keen hiker and spends every summer roaming hills and mountains, usually in Austria.
