PEM is looking to the future with the appointment of two new partners.

We are delighted to announce the promotions of Andrew Turpin and Philip Olagunju who have both been appointed as partners of the Virtual Finance Office team and the Corporate Finance team as of 1st April 2021, bringing the total number of partners in the firm to 21.

Andrew, who joined PEM at the beginning of 2016, having previously qualified in practice and spent 9 years working in industry. His role involves supporting clients across multiple business sectors, and delivering a full outsourced accountancy service. He has a keen interest in how organisations can utilise the latest accounting technology to drive efficiencies, and achieve growth potential. On his appointment, Andrew commented:

“It’s a great honour for me personally to be invited to join the PEM partner group. I’m really proud of the work that we have done within the Virtual Finance Office over the last 5 years, and delighted to receive this recognition for both myself and the team. I’m massively excited about the future, with the continued growth of technology in the cloud accounting space, and looking forward to supporting many more PEM clients over the coming years.”

Philip joined PEM Corporate Finance in March 2017, after 11 years in corporate finance advisory services. Day to day he advises shareholders on the sale of their businesses and assists acquirers with the identification and purchase of suitable acquisition targets. He also delivers exit strategy reviews, advises on management buy-outs and drafts independent 3rd party valuation reports. He specialises in recruitment, specialist manufacturing, construction and IT software industries. On his appointment, Philip commented:

“I am really pleased to be taking up this appointment. Lake and the PEM partners have entrusted, equipped and empowered me since I joined the practice in 2017, and I’m excited and proud to be joining such an exceptional partner group. Despite all the challenges brought on by the pandemic, PEM Corporate Finance has remained busy over the period, completing a number of high-profile deals such as the MBO of Falcon Cranes, the sale of MJog to Kry International AB and the MBO of COEL. Our pipeline remains strong, and I am looking forward to building on our recent transactional activity.”

Managing Partner, Warren Tilbury commented:

“I’m delighted to announce these appointments given the challenges of the last 12 months. They reflect our growth aspirations and demonstrate our ability to invest, nurture and develop outstanding individuals. Phil and Andy bring considerable experience to our existing team and their appointments reflect their hard work and dedication since joining PEM.”
