Sphere Fluidics is a Life Sciences technology company that spun out of a Cambridge University department. They moved into new premises on the Babraham Research Campus in early 2013. Starting out with four staff they have now grown to employ 17 staff. They needed help to set up a IT system that could handle their plans, and CEO Dr Frank Craig approached PEM IT Services to help.

Windows 10 coming to a PC near you

Microsoft have announced that Windows 10 will be released on 29 July, and if your computer has Windows 7 or 8 you are being offered the chance to upgrade for free. Yes – that’s right. Microsoft and free in the same sentence. If your PC is eligible then you can upgrade for free within one year of the release, and you can now pre-register for this via Windows Update on your machine. The big question facing organisations large and small is; should I upgrade, or not?
