Academies

The Academies Bill has raised the prospect that many state schools will seek academy status under the new revised regime. For many school governing bodies this is an attractive opportunity but there may be uncertainty as to what this means for the school financially.

Whether you are a state school considering a transition to Academy status, part-way down the application process or a foundation establishment who wants to review its future strategy, PEM can offer full support and advice for every step of the way. We fully understand the challenges you face and the processes and systems which need to be put in place to enable you to operate independently of local authorty support and control.

It is paramount that the governing bodies are well informed of the increased responsibilities resulting from academy status. The coversion approach is a much more streamlined process than when the foundation schools set up and timescales can in reality be quite tight.
