Surviving a Changing Climate: Accounting for Business Resilience
'Hands-on' workshops for accountants and financial advisors that want to 'future proof' their small business clients against extreme weather events and the impacts of a changing climate.
An innovative series of workshops for accountants and financial advisors is being run from late February 2012 across the East of England. Drawing on research undertaken by the UK Climate Impacts Programme that identified accountants as 'trusted advisors', the workshops are designed to give financial advisors tools and training to enable them to work with their small business clients. Delegates will understand market opportunities presented by climate change and the actions needed to ensure that businesses are resilient to extreme weather events.
Peters Elworthy & Moore, The Environment Agency, CIMA, the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership and Groundwork East of England are partners and supporters of the project.
