Sale of Saxon Recycling to Cleansing Service Group

Saxon Recycling logo

PEMCF advised the directors of Saxon Recycling on its sale to Cleansing Service Group (‘CSG’) following a competitive process involving a number of other buyers.  CSG is a nationwide supplier of waste management services headquartered in Hampshire.

Company background

Saxon Recycling Limited provides a “one stop-waste solution”, collecting and disposing of wastes – such as aluminium plates, fixing solutions and negative film – from the printing, photographic and healthcare industries. Its services also include the recovery from waste material of valuable commodities such as silver.

What was special

This transaction involved the sale of an East Anglian based owner managed business to a national operator in the same industry.  CSG is a good strategic purchaser – there is a strong fit in terms of services offered, and a very good geographic fit.  CSG has locations around the country but until the acquisition of Saxon no base in East Anglia.

Deal structure

Sale shares to large corporate purchaser
