PEM Hadrian's Wall Challenge

PEM staff get ready to leave for Hadrian's Wall

29 members of staff from PEM completed a 40-mile trek along Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.

On the weekend of 23-24 June 2018, the intrepid group walked along the famous Hadrian's Wall Trail between Carlisle and Chollerford. Every member of the team completed the challenge despite injury and the warm weather, surpassing their £10,000 fundraising target with the total amount raised currently standing at over £13,000.

The Hadrian’s Wall Challenge is part of a series of fundraising activity by PEM in 2018, raising funds to cover the daily running costs of the Hospice. Arthur Rank Hospice Charity provide vital respite and end-of-life care across Cambridgeshire.

Andrea Murauskas, Corporate Fundraiser at ARHC said:

“It’s been wonderful to work with PEM after they selected us as their charity of the year and it’s lovely to see how each member of staff has wholeheartedly got behind the Charity: planning and taking part in the fundraising activities they’ve chosen. It certainly sounds like the recent walk on the Hadrian’s Wall Trail was truly memorable, as well as being a splendid team building activity for all those involved.

“PEM provide a great example of how we like to collaborate with our corporate partners, enabling them to tailor their support to Arthur Rank Hospice in a way that works effectively for them.”

Warren Tilbury, Managing Partner at PEM commented:

“I’m delighted that everyone completed the challenge and the team has achieved their fundraising target. Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is close to a lot of hearts at PEM and we want to raise as much money as possible to help the charity continue to offer the best care.”
